Plastic Extrusion Finishes

Extrusions can be supplied in a range of surface finishes to suit your application. A specific finish may be required to enhance the immediate appeal of your product or to simulate the appearance of another material. Equally, textured surfaces may be chosen to disguise scuffs and bruises that your product may sustain during its life. Surface finish can be adjusted through a combination of material selection, material formulation, tooling design and additional operations.

Smooth surfaces - It is possible to achieve high gloss, satin and matt appearances on extrusions produced from a wide range of materials. Material selection will have a significant influence on the desired finish. Please advise our Technical Sales team of any specific requirements at the earliest stage of any project.

Textured Finishes - A range of textured finishes can be applied to profiles as they are extruded. A leather effect would be a good example of such a texture. Alternatively extrusions may be linished to give a rough surface or ‘sanded’ finish.

Printing - Simple printing, say of your company name, web-site or product code can be printed onto an extruded section or tube at regular intervals if required.
